In brief
Wheels Up has restructured its offering more than once, so the first thing to establish is what it sells today. Its September 2025 announcement describes a single Wheels Up Signature Membership: a minimum $200,000 prepaid deposit plus a monthly fee, guaranteed nationwide access 365 days a year within the contiguous United States and a 225-mile radius beyond the coastline, on Phenom 300 series and Challenger 300 series aircraft, with a choice of a dynamic pricing plan or a fixed-rate plan, and Delta Air Lines benefits including Diamond Medallion status and the use of deposit funds for Delta tickets. This page describes that structure, who it fits, and what to scrutinize. It states no rates.
What Wheels Up offers, as Wheels Up states it
In a release dated September 3, 2025, Wheels Up introduced the Wheels Up Signature Membership, described as a premium private aviation solution with a minimum $200,000 prepaid deposit and a small monthly fee. Members receive guaranteed nationwide access 365 days a year within the contiguous United States plus a 225-mile radius beyond the coastline, on Phenom 300 series and Challenger 300 series aircraft. Two access plans are offered: a Dynamic Plan with market-driven pricing based on seasonality, day of week, and destination, and a Fixed Plan with fixed hourly rates. The release lists no interchange fees and same-day round-trip discounts.
Delta Air Lines benefits are part of the membership: Delta SkyMiles Diamond Medallion status, the ability to apply deposit funds to Delta ticket purchases, and stated savings on select Delta fares. A January 2026 release added self-booking of Delta commercial flights through the member portal using existing Wheels Up funds. The company also describes a single customer team spanning membership, global charter, group charter, and hybrid private-commercial itineraries.
Not stated in the releases retrieved: the monthly fee amount, contract term, cancellation and refund policy, notice requirements, and peak-day definitions. All belong in the agreement.
Who it fits
- Flyers in the light-to-super-midsize range who want a guaranteed fleet without a share or a term, and who value the Delta integration for the commercial legs of their travel.
- Buyers whose pattern is domestic and predictable enough to choose the Fixed Plan, or flexible enough to benefit from the Dynamic Plan's off-peak pricing.
- Households and small companies for whom a single deposit covering both private and commercial travel is genuinely simpler.
Who should look elsewhere
- Large-cabin and international flyers; the guaranteed fleet is two mid-light families and the guaranteed area is the contiguous U.S.
- Buyers who want equity or a residual, for whom a fractional share is the comparison.
- Anyone for whom a $200,000 deposit exceeds a year of realistic flying; see is my jet card deposit safe before sizing a deposit to an incentive.
What to scrutinize in the agreement
- Term and renewal: length of commitment, notice windows, and the default if notice is missed.
- Escalation: how fees and rates adjust year to year, and whether the mechanism is a floor or a cap.
- Peak days: how many, which, the notice they require, and what they cost.
- Minimums and hour counting: how an hour is measured and the minimum billed per leg or day.
- Repositioning and service area: where the rate applies without positioning charges.
- Recovery: what the provider owes you when the contracted aircraft is unavailable.
- Deposits and unused hours: where funds sit, whether they expire or roll, and whether they are refundable.
- Exit: repurchase valuation and fees for shares; refund and expiry terms for cards.
Two are specific to this structure. Under the Dynamic Plan, peak pricing is the product, so model your own calendar against it before assuming the guarantee is also a price guarantee. And because Wheels Up is a publicly traded company that has restructured its programs before, read the deposit terms, the change-of-control language, and the refund policy with the care the jet card agreement checklist describes. Publicly filed results are available to you; read them.
Key takeaways
- As announced by Wheels Up in September 2025: one Signature Membership, a $200,000 minimum prepaid deposit plus a monthly fee, guaranteed access 365 days a year across the contiguous U.S. plus a coastal radius, on two aircraft families.
- Two pricing plans: Dynamic, priced by season, day of week, and destination; and Fixed, at fixed hourly rates. Which you choose changes the economics more than the deposit does.
- The Delta relationship is real and specific: Diamond Medallion status, deposit funds usable on Delta fares, and stated Delta fare savings.
- The mechanics that decide cost are the same as any deposit program: where the deposit sits, expiry, peak treatment under each plan, minimums, and recovery.

Educational, and deliberately general. Your situation turns on specifics — routes, hours, and terms — which is what an engagement is for.
